The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is very pleased to announce the winners of the 2004 Annual Aldrich Poetry Competition. They are Suzanne Frischkorn of Ansonia, Connecticut and Judith Valente of Chicago, Illinois. Our juror Mary Oliver, a Pulitzer Prize- and National Book Award-winner, selected the manuscripts, which will be published in the fifth volume of The Aldrich Poetry Competition chapbook series.
We are currently organizing a reading and book signing at The Aldrich Contemporary with Ms. Frischkorn and Ms. Valente. Ms. Oliver has been invited to introduce the winning poets. A reception and book signing will follow the readings. Further details will be announced soon. Please check this page for the date and time of the reading.
