In Today's Mail

Two copies of my friend David's chapbook--The Joy of Cooking School--just released by HH Press. (Thanks, David!)

My second rejection by a 'big gun' in less than a week
(both with ink, nice, always softens the blow.)

Our tax refund (Yay!).
____

I sent those homeless poems right back out, too. (Still aiming high, what the hell? You can't win if you don't play, right? Maybe I'll play Lotto today, too. Hmmm)

I also ordered the mac daddy double umbrella stroller by Maclaren. A must have for parents with two children under three.

Perhaps I should order some of that Mother's Little Helper while I'm at it, eh?

Dear Suz,
Sorry about the rejections - those guys don't know what they're missing!
And...well, I'd start with some green tea, move on to espresso and then Mountain Dew, before you try anything too extreme, LOL ...Mountain Dew is still my drug of choice if I have to get a mountain of work done.

Expectant Mommies should NOT be drinking Mountain Dew. So says this doctor who isn't even an Obstetrician!

Rejections aren't always the judgments we think they are. Sometimes things just don't fit with what is already acquired. You have done the best thing... you sent them out again.

Dang! Dr. Young is right. I forgot you were expecting. Well, that definitely rules out my crack suggestion then. LOL.

Not only did the two of you make feel much better, you're so sweet!, but you gave me a much needed good laugh. :-)

Thanks! xo
