Summer

Weeks left until our baby girl arrives: 10

____
Mary, Mary, how does your garden grow? Beautifully, beautifully, my friends.

____

Plans for the next 10 weeks now that husband is on summer break and reality is setting in?/: Write. Walk (alone, well sort-of, I'm never really alone these days am I?) Write. Walk. Shut doors. Write. Write anything. And hope someday I'll be able to salvage something. Someday translates into getting baby girl on a nap schedule at around 4 months of age, in some romance languages it translates into: after the intense baby love fest that precedes regular napping (the baby love fest also follows regular napping, but at least you can force yourself to do something else during naptime).

Suzanne--

I'm so excited for you. Is that picture of a violet a hint about her name?

Congratulations on your forthcoming wee lass, Suzanne! I remember that pregnancy dreams were such good inspiration for poetry, and before my daughter was born I went on a real writing binge. Little did I know that writing during naptime is much more fun than cleaning the house! I'm lucky that my daughter (now three) still takes a three hour afternoon siesta. I hope you're feeling comfortable, and not getting too many elbows in the ribs from that sweet little one. ~mb

Thanks, A! Unfortunately, Violet didn't make the last rounds, just didn't sound right with my married last name. I am happy with the name we chose, but I'm keeping it quiet in case others opinions cloud my judgement. *lol*

Hey, thanks, Mary. My two-year old is also a great napper and I'm the same way about the house, sadly it shows. There are so many more fun things to do when he's awake and/or asleep than clean the house. *lol*

I love naptime--In fact, that's what my boys ar up to right now. And Mary--thanks to your prompting I'm trying to squeeze in a 20 p projects!

And Suzanne--I respect keeping te name under wraps--I wanted to be the first person to say the name, and I wanted to be sure that the wee ones "looked" like the names we picked.

Thank goodness for naptime!

Mary, I could kiss you--the 20 little projects sparked a new poem and now I have new draft fuss over. :-)

Oh yay Suzanne and Alison! I am so glad that there are new drafts sprouting up out there. I actually wrote something new myself. Perhaps it's the heat! Happy Friday!
