Day 6 of the Practice of Poetry's page 5. This is a ten day exercise and if anything it's an exercise in discipline--writing for a set amount of time, no stopping, no looking back, no correcting typos, no thinking, just writing. At the end of ten days you go back, mine through the ten pages and find nuggets to incorporate into a new poem. Hmmmm.

Robin Behn used to teach at Knox College. They tell me I have her office. Who knows? But I try to channel that energy sometimes.
Write well, friend.
I want to channel your energy...in fact, don't be surprised if I find a way to get you up here and teaching at Yale. A girl can dream can't she? ;-)
Miss you, girl. xoxoxoxo
Sadly my summer exercise has been to put the girls to bed, drink two gin and tonics and see if there is a poem. Maybe I should try this instead:)
Try it, chica! And let me know how it goes. :-)
