had a huge clean-out-the-inventory sale yesterday; any book under $10 was $1. The poetry section was pretty sparse, but I did walk out with several recent journals--River Styx, The Southern Poetry Review, Bellingham Review, Passages North, and quite a few children's classics.
I also (finally) spent my B&N gift card on Richard Blanco's, City of One Hundred Fires and the anthology These Are Not Sweet Girls : Poetry by Latin American Women. The owner of the Books by the Falls mentioned an article he had read recently: B&N or was it Borders? One of them had grossed $60 billion in sales. Sixty Billion.
Someone is reading, that's for sure.
