Contest for Women Poets Over 40

This contest is open to any woman writer over the age of 40 living in the U.S. and writing in English, who has not published a full-length book of poetry (chapbooks excluded), with the exception of Carlow University students and employees.

The winner will receive The Patricia Dobler Poetry Award , in the form of round-trip travel and lodging as a participating guest of Carlow's MFA residency in Carlow, Ireland, June 12 - 22, 2007.

What I'd like to see is a Contest for Male Poets Over 40 who couldn't publish a full-length book of poetry (let alone a chapbook) even if their lives depended on it. :-)
