Interestingly, The Road and Silent Spring are carrying on a conversation, so many ideas overlapping, but each packaged so differently . . .
David, yes, I can see that -- I'm going to pick up Silent Spring. BTW I was very moved by The Road and really taken with the language, the next book I picked up to read seemed almost baroque in comparison.
