Homesick

I miss Spain. My heart aches. I knew this was going to happen. It happens whenever I return from Europe. I thought I prepared myself, but still I have a bad case of homesickness. My husband keeps teasing me by saying he could teach anywhere. What I can't bear to tell him is that his pale Irish skin -- inherited by Jack and Emily -- would scorch and most likely catch flame if exposed to the heat of Seville for any prolonged length of time.
________

On the day I left for my trip I received three postcards from Darling Rebecca and the day after I arrived home that Darling Rebecca sent me a very cool view of Hopper's Nighthawks. Who rocks? Rebecca.

I'm reading Louise Bogan -- A Portrait, by Elizabeth Frank. It won the 1986 Pulitzer Prize for biography and it's already out of print. A shame because it's truly an excellent book.

Welcome back, and thank you for the gorgeous shots of Spain. It's one of the places I really want to go, but have never been.

I am also into Louise Bogan lately, but haven't read the biography you mentioned.

Ivy, exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you! xo

Greg,
Find a way to get there -- and bring me with you ;-)

Also if you're interested there are some used copies of the biography on Amazon.
