Poet Suzanne Frischkorn
and
Novelist Sandra Rodriguez Barron

In addition to Lit Windowpane, Suzanne Frischkorn is the author of several chapbooks, most recently American Flamingo (MiPOesias Press, 2008) Spring Tide (Aldrich Museum, 2005) and Red Paper Flower (Little Poem Press, 2004). Her poems appear in numerous literary journals and anthologies including Ecotone, Indiana Review, MARGIE, Poet Lore, and Conversation Pieces: Poems that Talk to Other Poems, part of the Everyman's Library Pocket Series. She is the recipient of the Aldrich Poetry Award, and an Artist Fellowship from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism.

Sandra Rodriguez Barron was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in El Salvador. Her debut novel, The Heires of Water (HarperCollins), won the 2007 International Latino Book Award, was chosen as a Borders "Original Voices" selectio, and has been translated into Spanish and German. She is the recipient of a 2007 Individual Artist Grant from the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture and the Ford Foundation. In 2008, she received the Jane Tinkham Broughton Fellowship in Fiction to the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference and is currently a preliminary judge for the 2009 Bread Loaf Literary Publication Prize in Fiction. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Florida International University. Her second novel is due out in 2009 from HarperCollins. www.sandrarodriguezbarron.com
