Garrison Keillor is wrong, but he is wrong with such flair; “18 million authors in America, each with an average of 14 readers, eight of whom are blood relatives. Average annual earnings: $1.75.” Like all us old guys, the new technologies are tough to keep up with. Especially if you made the mistake of thinking them a passing fad and got behind at the start. It's not going to be "his" publishing world anymore, but it also isn't "his" radio world anymore either.

I too believe he is wrong, for there will always be a place for publishing, in any form it will evolve. It is like saying there is no place for chefs because we call all watch Food network or no place for photographers because we all own digital cameras...
