Suzzane: Thanks for this post. It was interesting reading though I'm not sure I share the infrance by David Orr that this reflects negatively on poets or poetry readers.

How many totally origional ideas are there in any genre? Throughout life, indeed throughout all of history mankind has been moving beyond points - starting where others have left off but utalizing a previous point as a launching pad.

I tend to find the interrelation of poets, schools of poetry, the DNA of poets if you will as fascinating stuff.
