Remember all the talk about how we need more readers for poetry? I'm down with that--as long as the readers are people I don't know. Unless, of course, they are readers I know & trust.
In other news--
The oriental poppies have opened, so has the mountain laurel, dianthus, rose campion, and yarrow. Let's not forget the roses. The white rose bush has blossoms so wide that morning finds drifts of white petals on the path and driveway. Yesterday, the yellow rose bush had a bud that promised to open today.
I grew two new poems this week, one I may actually keep, the other I'm sticking in a drawer so it will ripen. Contributor copies and proofs have been drifting in as well. Good stuff.
