I took the day off yesterday. Yes, I handed the children to their father and spent almost the entire rainy day in bed reading. It was an early birthday present and it was delicious. Today, my real birthday, will be spent trying to get this place presentable for the little fiesta. Cake & ice cream anyone?

Happy birthday--when Jonah was still an infant, I took the day to myself to visit Hartford, and trace Stevens' steps. I bet the people who live in what was once his house get creeped out from all the unwashed poets driving by slowly, peeping at their windows!
