Immersed

in my contributor's copy of Indiana Review, Latina & Latino Writers. Stunned by the stellar work in this issue and by many poets that are new to me -- Blas Falconer, Lisa Maria Martin, Raul Zarita -- delighted to find familiar names -- Gary Soto, Ray Gonzalez, David Hernandez, Rafael Campo. Our own Emmy Perez interviews our own Sheryl Luna! Fiction includes an enticing excerpt of Robert Arellano's, Havana Lunar, and the excellent short story Loteria, by Kevin A. Gonzalez. Pablo Medina's essay, A Cuban Poet in New York, is completely absorbing. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the issue and I highly recommend you pick up a copy for yourself.

Cool... I look forward to seeing the issue and reading all the work, including yours!

Thanks for mentioning the interview with Sheryl... it was about over 20 pages long so what appears in the journal is a brief excerpt. Will have to transcribe it all someday or conduct a part II interview. It was fun.

And de nada, Emmy, I really enjoyed.

Hi Suzanne,
This makes me want to see the issue! I'm so busy these days, but I may run to Tattered Cover to get a copy tonight, like right now. And god bless Emmy since they didn't like my poems! She saved my butt!!! hahaha
