I so much envy your traveling to Spain. One day, tal vez...
Don't know to what extent you've read Lorca -- I couldn't imagine going to Spain without having read him. A Collected Poems of Lorca was published a few years back, edited by Christopher Maurer, and a thick Selected Poems a few years before that, also edited by Maurer.
However I still prefer the older Selected Poems published in the 1950's by New Directions (edited by Donald Allen and Francisco Garcia Lorca -- Federico's brother). It's a smaller selection, but I generally like the translations better.
Another one about Spain I liked quite a bit is "The Ornament of the World: How Muslims, Jews, and Christians Created a Culture of Tolerance in Medieval Spain" by Maria Rosa Menocal.
