God I LOVE that poem. It rocks. woo-hooo!
Indeed! "Our parents were line dancing, were banktellers, were absent. We were a family that knew nothing about its members."I know about all of that...I need to write my own "Great Lash"
Thank you Jenni & Talia!
Congrats, Suzanne! Good stuff.
So delighted to find you there. I hope they leave you lots of clean towels.xor
Thank you, Nick! Thanks, Rebecca, yes plenty of clean towels & a great view-- xo
Congratulations. My question, having read one brilliant chapbook and handfulls of your poems, is when does the full-length mind-rewiring book emerge?I'm jonesing.
How am I ever going to get this smile off my face? Jake, your words could not have come at a better time for me -- you ask a very good question -- know that I am doing everything I can to remedy you a fix. Thanks for the words and for this smile.
i love these poems, suzanne. they make me want to read more and more and more. "and your childrenperennials of your own making; forthe rest of your lifethe view of their backsas they push away from you."this brings tears to my eyes it is so true and beautifully written (and i don't have kids).
Emmy, thank you so much for this gift, I really appreciate your response to the poem, looks like I might end up with a permanent smile --
You poems lull me into a state of calm relaxationand then sock me in the gutand I love it.
(((blush)))
