Sorry kids, things have been nuts around here since my last blog entry. I found out late Sunday night that my oldest son suffered a severe injury while he was racing with his dad in New Hampshire. Stitches, staples, knee brace, crutches. What made it worse, as if your offspring bleeding isn't terrible enough, he played his first football game on Saturday and kicked ass. The team itself got spanked, but T made a huge impression on his coach. Long story short: the coach was going to announce T, Captain of the freshman football team at Monday's practice. The coach btw was almost more traumatized by the injury than T or myself for that matter. This little tidbit of news has really hit hard with his mama. (me, in case you're not paying attention) It would have been a great way to start high school, no?
In fact Monday was a crappy day all around. My husband went back to work and although I survived J & E, I have a feeling it's going to be a very long winter.

So sorry to hear about your son.
Yes, me too.
Likewise. Ouch. Wishing him the best for his recovery.
Ouchie! Hope things get better...
I'm sorry Suzanne.
I've had each of my knees in braces several times . . . he'll bounce back for sure.
Eek! That sounds like a lot to cope with. Hang in there. I hope your son recuperates quickly!
Oh no! I know T. will be better before you know it. Sending love...
Hope your son mends quickly!
Hope all is well. Thinking of you. Mail coming your way soon. Kisses to little Rebecca~
Thanks so much everyone for the speedy recovery wishes. He's getting his drain tube removed this afternoon and we'll know more (hopefully) after this visit to the orthopedic doctor. I was completely stressed out this week, but I think I've snapped out of it. :-)
