Sleigh bells ring are you listening? In the lane snow is glistening...

We had a lovely Thanksgiving, but spent most of the long weekend moving funiture and books, hanging draperies and paintings--I'm happy to report that I'm writing from my new study although the only thing hooked up is the pc.

I heard Winter Wonderland, on the radio yesterday and realized that I am really looking forward to this holiday season. It's so much fun when you have a little one in the house. Our neighbors put up their house lights and Jack's been calling them Christmas stars. We'll probably catch up with the Jones' sometime next week. That's if my poor husband doesn't collapse from exhaustion--he's been doing a lot around here.

In yesterday's mail:

A nice note re: the Brittingham and Pollak Poetry Prize--

'...your wonderful ms was a strong semi-finalist here.'
