This dying off of bees is of great concern to me. In my wildflower tromp yesterday, I only saw two bees--normally I'd see dozens.

Maybe that's why the flowers are going crazy this year; hopefully it's not the last hurrah, though.

That quote is attributed to Einstein by some, but I have not yet found the person who can point to where Einstein wrote that down. One place retracted the quote and said that Einstein never said it. deb at 32

Great quotes!

Made me feel less alone! Made me smile too.

Thanks!

The dying off of bees is deeply disturbing, Simmons. I saw a lone bee this morning in the garden -- the first this spring. Completely mesmerizing.

Deb, You've given me hope that it's the newest urban legend.

Glad you enjoyed these, Sheryl!

The bees disappearing is such a weird (scary) story.

Since hearing about this, I've been thinking about all the poetry that's been written about bees.

Thanks for the quotes/links.

I thought that quote was from Mark Twain (the bees). Not sure about the first. The second is F Wright and his father.

I like the first, gives me a good excuse to read STAR magazine and enjoy it as much as I do. lol
