Wow

Received the great news today that American Flamingo was one of ten finalists for the Philbrick Poetry Award. I had pulled it from the contest after Didi solicited the manuscript, but apparently it wasn't actually pulled.

Congratulations Suzanne but I think I'm behind the times---is that the name of your new book or chapbook?

Didn't Greg Pape write a book with that same title?

Yours will be damn better---that's my bet!

Thanks, Pam! You are probably the only person on earth who knows why this news was like a balm. xoxo

Thanks, T. A quick search proves that yes indeed Pape has a book with the same title. I don't know about the better stuff, but I would certainly say mine, a chapbook, is different. ;-)

Very nice! Looking forward to catching that long-necked bird when it flies out here to the desert! Not to mention the autumn collection.
